At pixelslam we use the new Creo IQ Smart 3 flatbed scanner. This scanner allows us to achieve high-resolution scans directly from positive or negative film, flat artwork, photographs and prints up to 11 x 17 inches. Unlike the drum-type scanners the flatbed also eliminates the need to mount, bend or tape originals, thus eliminating the risk of damage. If your original does not fit our maximum size we may be able to scan it in pieces and then digitally stitch it together. Please call us to discuss our capabilities.
Our scanner incorporates Creo XY stitch technology. What does that mean? It means an optical output resolution of 2700 dpi resulting in "drum-quality" scans. |
