PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Multi-Discipline Licensure Resource Project (MDLR) provides licensing resources for occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and social workers. While these groups have disparate licensing requirements that vary by state and province, the type of information they need is the same. This allowed us to design an information architecture with a stable structure across site sections, making it easy for people to use, as well as easy for the client to maintain. Visual design work including refining colors, type, and layout of the MDLR’s preliminary logo, pattern development to represent each discipline, and a clean, open page designed to enhance readability even when pages are long. Development focused on creating an easy to maintain site especially with regard to client updates of licensure requirements and contact information for licensing boards which could change regularly and also included the integration of a chatbot allowing for more direct and easy communication between users and MDLR.
