PROJECT OVERVIEW
Watkins College of Art in Nashville, TN had undertaken an extensive rebranding of the school in early 2017 in order to better demonstrate its rich history and present itself as one of the most prestigious art conservatories in the country. As the largest ambassadorial platform, the website needed to be one of the first assets to be addressed after rebranding, not only to incorporate the new logo, new colors and new fonts but to present a new mood, a new feel, a new voice and a wholesale change to how the school portrays itself. The site needed to support a large number of high quality images, be easy to update and present content in a way that was both informational and evocational, creating an online environment where website visitors want to linger and explore and which would support future marketing efforts and campaigns. The site involved an extensive UX strategy, complete rewrite and extensive development of custom post types to support various types of content and page templates.
